even though imeem had all the key labels signed up and 15M uniques per month, it couldnt make it. now some alternative plays are looking at how they can make a go of it. there seems to be a copyright benefit from being seen as an online radio station vs subscritptions

a combination of high licensing fees for music and lack of visible business model lead to a firesale for the business. myspace music is sniffing around but without a business model one can only assume they are looking to leverage the market position of imeem.
